John Davis John Davis is a Senior Consultant with The Cramer Institute (TCI). John is a sought after meeting facilitator, executive coach and corporate consultant. He is especially skillful in moving individuals and groups to new levels of performance and effectiveness, particularly during times that require organizational change and transformation. With leaders, John's coaching targets excellence in communication, influence, team building and conflict resolution skills. In addition, John designs and leads training and certification processes for The Cramer Institute in Asset-Based Thinking (ABT), ABT leadership development, as well as ABT communication, customer service and sales training applications. John has recently joined The Cramer Institute after a distinguished career in manufacturing operations and organizational development. John started with Monsanto's electronics division, which later became MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. During his 31 years in corporate roles, his contributions have included: - Strategic planning, with worldwide responsibility for creating a high performance and cost effective manufacturing organization
- Facilities planning and construction management, responsible for projects in 9 manufacturing locations in the US, Asia and Europe
- Operations management in the US and Asia, including formation of MEMC's first joint venture in mainland China
- Technical management, with an emphasis on new process start-ups, in the US and Malaysia, where he lived for 4 years
- Capital management for the company's annual $200M investment strategy
- Facilitating corporate transformation processes leading to higher levels of performance and functional effectiveness
- Organizational development and team building programs at all corporate levels
- Leadership development and management training, including partnering with Washington University in St. Louis to develop corporate programs
- Individual coaching and consulting focused on increasing leadership effectiveness
In his community work, John contributes his one-on-one coaching and group leadership by serving on the training staff for the Mankind Project (MKP), an international non-profit organization for men focused on personal and leadership development. John holds a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University and a MBA from Southern Illinois University.
