Peggy Guest, Ph. D.

Peggy Guest is a Senior Consultant and Project Partner with The Cramer Institute. She has worked as a psychotherapist in her own private practice for more than 25 years. Additionally, as a professor, Dr. Guest has taught Psychology and Women's Studies for a number of years at Washington University. She is a leader in her professional field who has been honored by her professional colleagues for developing networking groups for local psychotherapists as well as continuing education programs for special interest areas in her field.

At The Cramer Institute, Dr. Guest has provided executive coaching to a wide range of individuals within The Cramer Institute's key clients. She assumes a critical role in coaching leaders who have already achieved high levels of accomplishment in their positions - helping them to challenge themselves and discover where their emphasis should be on their next level of personal growth and leadership. She works equally effectively with teams and leadership groups to move to their next highest level of functioning. She integrates into her knowledge base and experience her work with The Cramer Institute's trademarked process called Courageous ConversationsTM, a collaborative methodology to dealing effectively with conflict and building strong and robust relationships and with Asset Based Thinking, a new initiative for leadership development created by Kathy Cramer, Ph.D. of The Cramer Institute.

As a community leader, Dr. Guest was a co-founder of Wise Woman Productions, which has provided thought-provoking programs designed to stimulate discussion among participants and build community among St. Louis women. As a founding member of the Alumni Association for the Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program, and a leader in her field, she has worked to provide continuing education and networking opportunities for professionals across disciplines.

Dr. Guest has been an active member on several boards of directors, including Focus St. Louis, The St. Louis Forum, and the Psychoanalytic Institute. She has recently begun to serve on the YWCA and Lift for Life Boards. She participated in Leadership St. Louis and was a member of the Racial Polarization Community Study group for Confluence St. Louis. She is now active in Bridges, an organization working for racial harmony.

Dr. Guest graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders. She completed a Masters Degree in Counseling and her Ph.D. in Counseling, both from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and completed the postgraduate program at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute for Psychodynamic Psychotherapists.
